If your dog has stinky breath, try sprinkling a bit of parsley on their food for a fresher breath.

Older Dogs with Tooth Troubles

 

If you have an older dog with tooth troubles, add some water or chicken broth to their food and microwave for 20-30 seconds. This will soften the food making it easier to chew.

Bathing Your Dog

 

To make your doggy shampoo last longer, dilute it with warm water. This will also make it easier to apply! 

Accidents on the Carpet

 

If your pup has an accident on the carpet and you don't have a cleaning product available, you can use baking soda to get dog urine out of the carpet. Pour some on the spot, let it sit, then sweep or vacuum it up.

Slow Introductions

 

When you first get a new puppy or dog, introduce him to your household slowly. Many pairs of hands petting him at once can be frightening. Later, introduce neighbors, regular visitors, and other family members.

Be cautious of which human foods you feed to your dog! Green beans are safe for dogs and full of essential vitamins and minerals. They can provide a healthy, low-fat alternative to dog biscuits. 

Comforting Your Older Dogs

 

Provide your older dog with special accommodations too. For instance, dogs with arthritis might benefit from soft bedding in the form of a special dog bed or towels/blankets on which to sleep.
